Recognizing that bars are virtually all non smoking here in Vancouver, I have
challenged my bar-staff to come up with 5 new reasons to approach a guest upon
a bar visit.In the old days we would light 3 cigs and change 2 ashtrays for a
smoker.5 reasons to create conversation and provide service. Now we are
victims of the 1st generation, computer raised, people skilled bartenders and
no smoking. I found the 'people skill ' side of our business is hurting.Do you
have 5 new reasons to greet a guest? Challenge yourself , it is amazing what
you got in you! Post some ideas for other's.We are all in this together.
