Subject: blue barries infused into vodka.

15 oz canned bluebarries with juice
2 c vodka (good vodka)
1 c suger
1\2 c water (ground/hard water should make it smoother, "should")

steep the berries for 2 weeks in the vodka
(eat the blueberries afterwards if they still taste good. it may get you
drunk.)
then strain and add other ingrediants and let set for 2 more days.
(most home liqueurs recipes let it mature longer but i will be good anyways)

you can probibly use the same recipe with other fruits, the ratios have to be
changed ever so slightly and pits of most fruits must be removed for health
reasons.

my first batch i used the cheapest vodka and inspite of that, it came out
verr'rry good my "mommy" whom doesn't drink even liked it! i like it better
than the 3 blueberry shnapps i have on my shelf.

next i'm trying to make a recipe using canned pie filling so anyone who can
get vodka can make it anytime of the season. it'll probibly need less suger.

this is my second infusion that came out good! my first was honney

i got the idea after a post here and then found a site while searching for
recipes that is loaded with home made liqueurs. i entend to make them all!
www.guntheranderson.com/liqueurs.htm there is allot of excelant recipes on a
couple of his pages. also
www.liqueurweb.com/fruitrecipes.htm i found a few more good sites and i saved
all of the recipes from all of them.

i think the webtender should adopt gunther's recipes for it's own archives.
