Hi,
I'm kinda new too.
Here's what I did on New Years Eve for the gathering of friends and family.
I got the basic alcohol, tequila, gin, vodka, whiskey, brandy and rum. The
mixes I used were pineapple, orange, lime, cranberry, and lemon juice,
grenadine, coke, 7up, and soda water. Then triple sec, a few flavors of
schnapps and kahlua.
Then I went to the "In My Bar" link here at Web Tender and clicked on the
items I had to generate a list of drinks. In the "Additional Ingredients", I
used the "can miss one" option, save the selections and then generated a list
of drinks with the alcohol I had.
Looking through the list, I could pick the drinks that would be fun to make
and would be to the liking of most of my guests. If there were a few drinks
that needed the ingredient I didn't have, I would pick that ingredient up.
I also picked out a few recipes that looked interesting to taste and make. I
used these just to make and say "here, try this and let me know what you
think".
I printed two copies of the list and left one on the bar and one behind the
bar.
It turned out quite fun and I learned some new recipes.
Hope this helps.
Jer
