I typically don't go rushing people out the door that have drunk too much - I 
first cut them off, politely letting them know that I can't serve them any 
more because I want them to make it home safe. If they persist, I go on to let 
them know (at least in Oregon) if they take off and anything happens to them, 
that I'm responsible and not only would I lose my job, but I'd get a huge 
fine, and could be subject to lawsuits.

However, if they're just won't leave, and it's closing time, I generally do it 
in steps. 1) Offer last call, clearly saying that we're closing 2) Turn off 
the TV's 3) Turn off the music 4) Turn off the lights in the section that they 
are sitting.
