Hi Pros,
I've been talking to a couple friends about having a bottle party. Everyone
invited brings a bottle. One will bring juices, one apple pucker, one gin, and
so on.
I figure 30 - 50 people, so the bottles should make close to a full bar with
extras, like vodka and ice.
Here is question number one:
Have any of you done this? How did it turn out?
So, at this party, I make the 50 most popular drinks.
Here is question number two:
What are the 50 most popular drinks? I work at an upper-class steak house and
it's all manhattans, martinis, cosmopolitans, old fashions, you know, the
"traditional" drinks. I've made one captain coke and one kamakaze since I've
been there (about 2 months). The age group will be from early 20's to late
40's, so the range of drinks could go from "traditional" to "shooters".
I mentioned I would compile a list from the bartenders in the forum and we
would pick 50 from that list.
Most of the invites are going to my "inner circle" of friends, with a few I
don't know, so "security" isn't going to be an issue. All keys are collected
at the door upon arrival. Yes, it's going to be a sleep-over. NO ONE LEAVES
AFTER EVEN ONE DRINK!!!!
I know a few musicians and I'm thinking of having a "live" band. They're not
the best, but it's all for fun (and they're free!).
The reason for this "bottle party", is to gain experience making alot of
drinks "now" and making them fast.
Have any of you tried this before?
Am I crazy for this idea?
Am I missing anything?
What are the 50 most popular drinks?
You don't have to give the recipe, just the name of the drink. I'll look up
the recipe (if I don't have it or know it) on the webtender.
Thanks for the info, ideas, help and support.
