Hi I have been reading for awhile on your forums and found a great wealth of
information and help here.

I actually got into bartending by a fluke, I was waitressing in a resturant
3rd shifts got the after crowds when the bars closed and had a pretty good
following there and word got around if you want to continue the party once the
bars closed go see Pebbs where she works.

I didn't know that for several weeks I had a bar manager coming in and
checking me and to see how I handled things I guess. Well needless to say he
offered me a job as server in his bar. During down times I always was
watching the bartenders and realized I would really love working behind the
bar.

So when that job ended, I lucked out and found a bartending job with no
experience and those first couple of weeks were hard but I faked it till I
could actually make it. Now those that come up with some off the wall drinks
no I have no problems because I have found that I can do and make anything and
have the personality that they never know that I have absolutely no clue what
the heck it is that I'm making, but they love it and they like to watch me
bartend as I do try to do just a little flair in there and am working at home
practicing flair work as it does increase the tips and brings more back to the
bar for more drinks just so they can watch what is going on.

I have been doing this now for 7 mos. and rite now still the phase of loving
it....

Thanks guys for all the great info that is on this site....
