Just a few added coments from a native born and rased here!

My father calls Boulder "One Square Mile Surrounded by Reality"

Aint that the truth!! $3.89 for a gallon of milk, $2.09 for a gallon of plain
unleaded gas. $2.13 per hour waiting tables or bartending. Ouch!

And as far as getting around in the mountains, be aware that there is always
an Asshat that thinks since he has 4 wheel drive he can drive 70 MPH on a %14
grade, downhill on black ice. If youre going to ride you moutian bike, I
heavily suggest some protective gear.... Kevlar.
I think you should hop on a plane and come and visit for a couple of weeks and
check it out, put out feelers on jobs and such. What made you choose Boulder?
Personaly, it's kind of a flaky place, even just to visit. But I have found
flakyness comes hand in hand with some of the more noteable universities.
Good luck, and if you have more questions, don hesitate to email me either!
