I wouldn't recommend Amaretto. It really is a different flavor.
If you can't get Orgeat, Almond syrup is a perfect substitute, and should be 
easily available in this age of flavored coffee madness. If you are part of a 
real bar, then whatever company supplies your post mixes, should also be able 
to get you syrups.
If you can't get either of these, and need to substitute anything else in its 
place, then you are moving outside of it being a Mai Tai, and should come up 
with your own name for it. The "I think I can substitute XXX for YYY" is how 
we get some pretty strange things passing as various drinks. Mai Tai's with 
pineapple juice for example, what the heck were they thinking! :->
