     Cruiz,
  layering is done by floating a liquer of lessor specific gravity on top of 
one with greater specific gravity. The easiest way to do this is to look at 
the proof as a rule of thumb. Although in some instances like proofs will stay 
seperated. 
  After pouring the heaviest liq. into the glass. Use the back of a spoon, or 
a cherry holding the stem, to add the next lightest liq., and so on.
  An easy one is Kahlua, Baileys, and Vodka. Out where I am it's called a 
mudslide. Good luck...
