Schnapps is the German word for "shot".  Traditionalists will tell you that 
true "schnapps" is synonomous with "eau de vie" or any clear liquor distilled 
from fruit.  Over the years, however, schnapps has become synonomous with 
liqueur.  I recommend finding a Peach flavored liqueur over there if you can, 
you won't taste any difference.
