Okay, I'm a new guy. Mid-life career-change due to (partially) worn-out body.
Went to a decent bartending school a couple months ago and landed my first gig
at a service/walk-up bar (one of many) at a certain racetrack for the Spring
meet. Good people skills, pretty good memory for drinks, show up on time and
sober, not afraid to work, etc. NEVER TOUCHED A CASH REGISTER!! I know everyone
does things differently and I'm sure they'll show me something about it before
I start, but do any of you managers/tenders out there have some general
advice/tips for a rank beginner? All input greatly appreciated...
