Cheers flash for taking the time to reply, I work in small bar in a sports
franchise so we are really limited to what we can sell, so mainly my cocktail
making is more of a hobby, but i had to work the new years shift recently and
managed to persuade the manager that it would be a great opportunity to have a
dabble in the cocktail market, i sold it to them by saying that i would use my
own bar stock and would split a percentage of the profits with the company to
counteract loss of its own sales thru the till!
As it turned out cocktails went down a storm, i created my own menus and
placed them around the bar, i made back my initial outlay for the stock and
split 60-40 (in my favour) the profit with the company which they were happy
with as they put money in the till without forking anything out, now when they
have party nights they want me to work the shifts and introduce cocktails to
their services on a regular basis.
It gives me great satisfaction that i have managed to change the way things
are run in a strict environment, I dont expect to be stuck in this bar
forever, i want to climb that ladder of better things.
So this is why im asking you guys to share a little about your working
environments, i wanna see how other people climb there rungs.
