

I agree with Josh. If you are a new bartender in a new bar then stick it out.
If nothing else look at it as a great way to fine tune your skills. But always
be looking for a better gig. I don't know of a bartender that isn't always
looking for a chance to make more money in a stable environment.
Hard to know though why you are not making what you want. How do your tips
compare to your register? If you are only ringing up $500 all night then you
shouldn't expect much. If you are ringing $1,000 plus then you should be
taking home decent money. Of course alot depends on the type of client you
are attracting. Remember, you are paid by the drink, not by the hour. The more
drinks you make then naturally the more money you SHOULD be making too.
