At least at my bar most of our shots are made = parts.  Usually when im making 
shots for the shot girl I will just do an = count or everything, our juice 
comes out of the gun at about the same as a pourer so it all works out.  you 
could try using glasses to measure insted of jiggers.  for example 1 part 
could be a whole collins glass.  basically practice makes perfect.
