Hey beergut,

You could try a search on the board for some more related information on
starting your home bar, but I'll give you my personal suggestions here:

1) Figure out a drink you want to make, and buy the ingredients you need to
make it. Play with the recipe, adjust the recipe a little to find out what it
tastes like with a little more or less of each ingredient, and decide on a
good recipe. Repeat every friday. If you need help chosing a weekly recipe,
there are a few sites, like http://hotwired.wired.com/cocktail/

- OR -

2) Start with the basics and add on as you feel necessary. Basics, in my
humble opinion, are rum, vodka, gin, tequila, and whiskey to suit your tastes.
There are an endless number of flavored rums, schnapps', and various other
liqueurs but for mixing, just about every drink will have at least one of the
liquors mentioned above. From that point, this is your hot rod .. build your
it to your tastes.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
