This is the Egg Nog recipie I use, passed down from Grandmother. It is very
similar to the recipes posed on this site, but it does use twice as much
alcohol, if you like you can reduce the ammount of alcohol to one cup of each.

Egg Nog

Ingredients:
12 separated Egg
1 cup granulated Sugar
2 cups Bourbon
2 cups Cognac
1/2 tsp Salt
3 pint Heavy cream
Grated Nutmeg
Mixing instructions:
Beat yolks untill light yellow. Slowly add bourbon, cognac, while beating at
slow speed. Set in refridgerator and chill 4 hrs. Add salt to whites and beat
into stiff peaks then whip cream untill stiff. Fold whipped cream into yolk
mixture and then fold in the beaten egg whites. Chill for one hour. Serve with
nutmeg sprinkled on the top.
