As far as mid-range bourbons go, Buffalo Trace is my favorite.   About the 
same price range as Maker's Mark but doesn't have the flowery, cologne armoa.  
Very very smooth.
High end bourbons:  Woodfored Reserve is good but not quite worth the price.  
In fact, there's a very good likelihood that it's not even Woodford Rsv right 
now(long story).  Blanton's is very good.  So is Booker's.  My personal 
favorite preumium is Knob Creek.
