Hi Prettsy,

I am actually from Long Island and I took an online bartending course. The
course was very good, they sent me all the supplies I needed to "self-train"
as well as a complete CD-rom, instruction book set. Myself, I am a
disciplined student and yeah, I did have the oppurtunity to cheat on the tests
I had to take but I know it would only hurt me behind the bar if I did. I
think that if you are disciplined enough to take a course at home or online
than go for it. I think I paid $160.00 US or so for the complete course, 10
speed pourers, shaker tins, mixing glass, strainers (wire and julep), muddler,
jigger, bar spoon, among other things. I have actually learned a lot and I am
more knowledged and "better" behind the bar than a lot of my friends who have
spend hundreds of dollars on 2 week courses. If you want the web address
e-mail me at hunt6507[at]dowling.edu and i'll dig it up for you! Good luck!
