Subject: measuring volume from whole fruits

I'm making my best effort to use fresh squeezed lime juice when drink recipes
call for it instead of grabbing for the old bottle of Rose's or the sour mix
from the gun. But how much liquid I can get from say one average sized lemon
or lime? For example, when a recipe calls for 2 oz. of fresh squeezed lime
juice, how do I measure that just by squeezing lime wedges? And the same
question goes for measuring from the gun. I realize not all guns pour at the
same rate but is there a general rule of thumb? Thanks.
