Subject: A Fernet Martini cooler

Sweet vermouth is an aromatic wine, so it can make an entire glassful (30 cl)
of apple juice taste like cider or wine. So, mixing vermouth and apple juice
gives a drink that tastes like flat cider. What's the point?

Fernet Branca, on the other hand, is difficult to dilute. The dilutant must
have a strong taste too, because pouring some watery liquid on Fernet gives an
unpleasantly bitter, watery drink.

Thus, mix these. You'll get a cooler that's aromatic and not overly sweet.

4 cl Fernet Branca
4 cl? sweet vermouth

Fill with apple juice and ice.
