i heard the margarita sames story is utter bullshit...something about some
rich man's wife who took credit for a drink that was invented 15 years before
at a bar in mexico.
according to a lot of stories, a 20 year old bartender at bertita's was asked
to make a drink he never heard of, so he just added tequilla, cointreau and
lime juice on the rocks, and everyone loved it. bertita's doesn't advertise
that they started the drink, and the creator later became a mailman and died
at the age of 89 with 34 grandkids or some crap, and never bragged about it.
personally i'm siding with the mexican mailman over some rich bitch from l.a.
