the best way for control that works for me is talking - if something
gets physical i step inbetween them and start. of course, being
female takes them back and i have abot 3 seconds to start. after 25
years, haven't been hit yet. also, customer placement is a good control.
if you see someone who is coming in and there is a guy he can't stand
in the bar, i put his drink as far away as possible and "lead" him to
it. i'm a firm believer in NOT calling the police - most of the problems
in a bar happen from over serving whick i probably did and i clean my
own house.
sounds like an interesting study - would like to see your results.
