Subject: Online Bartending Class and Getting a Job

Hey Guys,

A couple of months ago I have taken one of the "online bartending classes" It
consisted of basically a CD-Rom with some videos on them and a full 24 piece
bartending set (mixing tins, speed pourers, etc) for me to practice with at
home as I complete the course. Myself, being a college student consider
myself disciplined in "learning on my own" and not cheating on the tests and
what not. I think I have a strong grip on the material and have a lot of
drinks/shots memorized. I want to work part time in a restaurant/bar.
Something like a Friday's, Ruby Tuesday's, Applebees, etc. The only actual
experience I have is doing parties and friends' of mine parties and what not.
Nothing in an actual establishment. Are these places usually looking for
someone who is experienced and do you think even though I haven't been to
"formal" bartending classes I would be OK out there? Thank you for any
comments!

Ace
