Pint of what?

Pulling a pint generally is not rocket surgery. If you use any kind of
electric/smoothflow type pump (lagers and most things other than cask
conditioned ales) just put the glass under the pump at an angle to avoid
excessive froth, pull the pump handle all the way and fill to near the top.
If there's too much head let it flow over into the drip tray, if you want a
bit more jiggle the pump handle around half way.

Bitters, ales, stouts and anything that looks creamy, pour about 2/3, let it
settle then top up by pushing back on the pump handle.

Hand pulled cask ales are a little more tricky but still no brain scince.
You'll need about 2-3 pulls usually to 2/3 fill the glass, keeping the end of
the nozzle near the bottom of the glass all the time. Let it settle then
before topping up, slightly pull handle to blow air out of pump then stick it
back in the glass and fill, overfilling again if necessary to bring head to
about 1-2cm from top of glass.

PS. I accept that some speciality beers have their own glass and way of
pouring with extra head etc. My examples were what i consider "standard".
