Indian beers: Kingfisher, Taj Mahal, I think there's one called Elephant. I
prefer Kingfisher. Be careful, though: some Indian beers are processed with
formaldehyde! I suspect this may be the case with Taj Mahal, which has a weird
aftertaste.

As for Indian mixed drinks: The gin and tonic was invented by Brits living in
India back during colonial times. The tonic contains quinine, which guards
against malaria, and the British found it most palatable when consumed with
gin.

As for native Indian mixed drinks, I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with any
Indian liquors. I would guess that rum and fruit juice comes closest, but then
you are in the realm of Caribbean drinks.

Most popular drinks of India: Tea, beer, lassi (yogurt drink, often mixed with
fruit), fruit juices, gin and tonic.
Hope this helps.
