There is a world of difference between the two.  The difference between 
Bombay Sapphire and any other gins, including Bombay, is the number of 
botanicals added.  Botanicals are what give each gin its distinct flavor.  The 
more botanicals used, the more complex the gin will be.  If you hold an open 
bottle of Tanqueray to your nose, then hold an open bottle of Sapphire to your 
nose, you'll notice that Tanqueray has a clean scent to it, and Sapphire has a 
very flowery nose.  That's because Most gins use four or five botanicals 
whereas Sapphire uses somewhere around ten.  These can include anything from 
aniseed, coriander, the traditional juniper berries and other extracts.
