i've been told i'm good looking, i have good style, i work
> hard, and know how to deal with people. so what do i do?

Well, for a start, who told you this and why? If it was the people who also
promised you a good job at the end of the course and it hasn't come through
then take it all with a pinch of salt.

I'm not from LA, not even US but i have travelled Canada trying to get a GOOD
bar job with my UK experience.

I would reccomend:

1. Several (Thousand) copies of your resume.

2. All showing skills you have beyond bartending. (Stock control and money
handling if pos.)

3. Persitence. I got a job in BC by going back to the same bar to see the
manager until he created a position for me.. (You'll either be hire or
barred!!)

4. Get in early. If you have a tourist season or end of college etc. Get there
first. There's only so many jobs. Make sure you're top of the list.

5. Be yourself.. (Should be no1)

Enjoy.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
