Subject: i can't get a job.

i have been reading these forums for a while now, and i appreciate all the
advice and tips from the "regulars". i am really disheartened and
disappointed because i spent a lot money (that i could now really use) on
stupid bartending school, with the promise of great "job leads". i knew i'd
have to rely on my charm to get a gig, but the "job leads" are a joke. i live
in los angeles and it's virtually impossible to get something. so then i paid
for actionjobs.com, and was very satisfied with the new listings that would
appear every day. i headed to a jazz bar from an actionjob lead. i was very
excited, looked purrrty, and was ready to score the job (it was for bartenders
and barbacks)... well guess what, they weren't hiring! she asked to see the
actionjobs listing i had, because she was clueless as to what it was. another
scam! i am currently jobless and don't know what to do. i don't mind getting
a barback position to get my foot in the door, but i can't really even get
that. i've been told i'm good looking, i have good style, i work hard, and
know how to deal with people. so what do i do? i feel really scammed on the
bartending school...they basically did nothing for me, and although i aced
with flying colors, i don't really see how one could fail that shit. i can't
survive like this, and i really really don't want to go the temp agency route.
any words of advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
