Study up! The driest whites, IMHO, come from the Loire valley, in France.
Muscadet and Sancerre are the driest varietals, very crisp and minerally.
Muscadet generally sells for about half of the price of Sancerre, for some
reason. You want something that says "sur lies" on the label- that indicates
it has been fermented on top of the lees, i.e. dregs, fruit crumbs, whatever,
leftover from mashing the grapes. A Muscadet fermented sur lies has more
complexity and flavor.
Don't know about sugar and alcohol content. Sugar depends on the grape variety.
I would suggest visiting your local wineshop and expressing your interest in
dry whites. They should happily answer your questions, as that is their job.
