Most drinkers prefer totally different drinks before and after a meal.

A before dinner drink is an Apertif (like appetizer). This could be a wine,
martini or highball. Just remember to keep it light so you don't fill-up
before dinner.

An after dinner drink is a cordial or pouse-cafe. These are usually heavier
and may contain cream or be layered. However, I know many people that
follow-up a dinner with a highball.

My personal preferences:
Apertifs
- Crown and Coke
- Crown Old Fashioned
- Absolut Dirty Martini
- Cape Cod

Cordials
- White Russian
- Banana Banshee
- Vanilla Vodka & Coke
