I know this can be confusing at first, but familiarity comes with experience.

Large stainless steel jigger 1oz (3cl) & 2oz (6cl)
Small -------------------- 3/4oz (2 1/4cl) & 1 1/2oz (4 1/2cl)

Half way up the cup is about 1/3 the total (besause of the conical shape) so

Half way up the 1 1/2oz is 1/2oz (1 1/2cl)
------------- 3/4oz is 1/4oz (1/2cl)

Ihope this is helpful.
