Hey. I work in a tiny bar which never closes. When working, I'm the only
bartender on duty and often the only employee in the bar. All of us are
expected to do the same duties, though of course some are more thorough than
others. Mainly I need to: stock ice, change dishwater, take out garbage, cut
fruit, etc.
Thankfully, we have someone who takes care of mopping and cleaning the
bathrooms and kitchen once or twice a week, but lately he's been lobbying for
the tenders to do more cleaning. Also, there's a homeless shelter around the
corner, so if there's anything I don't feel like doing (e.g. cleaning up
puke), I can just get one of those guys to do it for a free beer or something.
If I see something that needs to be done, I'll do it, whether it's part of my
official duties or not. That usually means sweeping or cleaning the coffeepot.
It will be interesting to see whether any of this changes after the health
inspectors come this week...
Rangstrom, if I may ask, why are you interested? What are your duties these
days?
