Subject: Insurance

A few weeks back I was receiving advice from a long time bartender regarding
the importance of not serving someone who is "intoxicated." This is often a
fine line to walk, when is someone unfit to serve? I was told that a bartender
can be held liable for any accident which may occur if a drunk leaves your
bar, climbs into his/her car and causes an accident. My first thought was
liability insurance. Does anyone have any advice for me regarding insurance
for bartenders? I realize that the laws probably differ depending upon where
you live and work but input from anyone is appreciated. I would also like to
take this moment to thank all of you who make your contributions here. I don't
post all that often, but the information that I read from all of you is
invaluable. Cheers.
