Dear T,
I would hazzard a guess that it may have been 'dry ice' aka frozen CO2. When
this hits water or any liquid it will release 'smoke'... the drink is entirely
safe to drink as long as you don't consume the dry ice as it is Very Very cold.
Nice trick tho' and everyone likes it...
cheers
aw

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
