I don't know if one "should" use these brands, but this is what we have at my
bar:
Aristocrat Rum 151
Skol Rum
Skol Vodka
Skol Gin
Sauza Tequila
Evan Williams Bourbon

I don't remember the Triple Sec or Scotch brands at the moment. We also have
Old Comiskey simple syrup, Rose's Lime Juice, and Finest Call mixers (sweet
and sour, grenadine, etc.)in the well. Personally I think there must be a
better sour mix than Finest Call, but I have yet to experience it. Nothing,
however, beats fresh squeezed lemons or limes.
While I'm on the juice subject, I'd like to state that any juice that comes
out of a soda gun is absolutely disgusting. I'm not a huge fan of canned
juices, either (except for pineapple, I guess). We use Tropicana o.j. and
grapefruit, Campbell's tomato, and Ocean Spray cranberry.
Sorry about the tyrade, hope this helps.
