VSOP is “very special old pale” which is aged for five years in a wood cask
and often called five star brandies.
Napoleon means the brandy is at least four years old, usually much older.
I would doubt that the producer of this elusive drink you are looking for is
called Napoleon. I believe you dad had an aged brandy that was and tagged
using the above terms. There are many brandies using the Napoleon age term.
Sorry to say, your search is still on. Possibly if you name the country where
you father purchased this brandy in question, someone in this forum can come
up with a distiller of brandies in that country.
