what your talking about is a spoon float method...all you have to do to float 
things is make sure the one with the lowest proof (therefore more dense) is on 
the bottom, and the one with the highest proof (conversely less dense) is on 
the top.  pour first ingredient in, then turn spoon upside down and just break 
the top layer of the first ingredient, as you are pouring in the second, 
slowly move the spoon up the shot glass....and repeat for as many as you 
want...a Pousse Cage calls for and 5-7 liquors floated, so you can definately 
float alot..hope it helps,
