Why the obsession with alcoholic content? Aren't we being a little silly about
this? I know alcohol is an important part of an alcoholic beverage, but it
shouldn't be the only important part. A whiskey at 80 proof (40% by volume) is
very alcoholic. There are plenty of 100 to 110 proof whiskeys readilly
available. At 50% to 55%, they're darn close to your Cachaca. Bacardi 151 is
over 75% alcohol by volume. Everclear is an absurd 190 proof (95% by volume).
Is there a reason you want to know this, or does drinking very high alcohol
spirits make you feel more manly?
