Karo syrup is a thick corn syrup. It is usually used in baking as far as I
know. The clear Karo is just sweet syrup and they produce a brown Karo which
is flavored with Maple extract. I've seen both styles in baking section of the
stores around here in Minnesota, but I'm sure there are different brands that
are similar. It comes in glass one quart bottles.
Half gallon of syrup, 1 1/2 pounds of sugar, 3 gallons of water and 48 ounces
of keylime juice. Sounds like a sweet mixture, hope it turns out for you.
