Beef jerkey works best for me. Actually, any high-protein food with a little
fat in it will be digested with the alcohol and made into the building blocks
you need for a healthy diet. Alcohol (or any sugar or starch) by itself will
simply be quickly digested and go right into the bloodstream.

I find that I can get drunk on 1 1/2 glasses of wine if I've had, nothing or
some carbohydrate like popcorn, chips, etc. But after eating beef jerkey I
can extend that to about 3 to 4 glasses of wine.

HOWEVER, consider this whole drinking situation. You should drink because you
WANT to drink, not because it's an endurance test or just to be "one of the
guys" among your friends. If you begin to drink too much liquor, switch to
cranberry and orange juice or some other juice combination that you like.
Nobody should look down on you for cutting back on the alcohol.

Remember, alcohol in larger doses is a poison that can kill you. Be very
careful!

Best wishes.
