

What I think you mean by classic drinks are drinks that were drunk by the
elite in the early part of the 1900's (20's, 30's, 40's). Elite crowds don't
necessarily drink classic drinks. They want drinks made with good quality
liquors/liqueurs such as Tanqueray Ten Gin, Crown Royal Bourbon Whiskey, just
like your example of a "very dry Bombay Martini." It will be made the same
way as a "very dry martini," but will use a quality gin.
