I'd like to hear what some of your favorite beers are. I always like to experiment with new drinks, and am always in the market for some suggestions for new brands to try. Living in Canada, mine are mostly Canadian made, but that doesn't mean I don't like some imports. I tend to drink a lot of Big Rock beers (brewed in my hometown of Calgary). They have all kinds of great varieties, but their best is their "Traditional Ale", which knocks the socks off of most other beers I've tried (okay, so I admit that I may be biased, but it's just great stuff). I also like "Upper Canadian Ale", which if I am not mistaken, is brewed right outside of Toronto. It's got a similar hearty, flavourful character that my beloved Big Rock has. As far as the big name brands go, Molson Canadian is okay, but best served on a nice warm day/night (when pretty much anything will taste better). As far as imports go, I'm a fan of Guinness... in fact, I'd have to say I love it. It gets such a bad rap from people, but I doubt most of them have ever even tried it (or are they even beer drinkers?!) It's got so much flavour and character to it. The award for best "hot summer day" beer definately goes to Corona (the beer that got me drinking beer in the first place). However, it's just not the same unless you stuff a slice of lime down the neck. Nothing like sitting on the patio of my parents' place in Tucson and sipping down a couple of those. How about everyone else?
