I would suggest White Russians. It's kinda like drinking milk with a kick, but 
they are tasty. Also, flavoured Martinis are an option (such as chocolate 
martinis, etc.). The only thing to be wary about is that the alcohol content 
in martinis is very, very high, so be sure to take your time. Of course, any 
fruity tropicial drink is a good way to bridge the gap- something like a pina 
colada, margarita, etc.

It's also good to remember that if you are going to be drinking a lot, sweet 
and coloured liquors and liqueres generally will give you a worse hangover 
than other kinds. In other words, if your goal is only to get smashed, then 
staying away from the sweet drinks may be a good idea.
