a couple years ago when i was in college, we had tons of jungle juice (we
called it spody) parties. we went a little overboard on our huge variety of
fruit. it's not too hard to make a good tasting jungle juice. what we did
was to use a HUGE plastic bin (sometimes a plastic kiddie pool) to create our
masterpiece. the night before you're going to have the party, soak most of
the fruit in your alcohol (we primarilly used vodka, but also added 1/5 of
captain morgan's once in a while to give it a different kick). from there,
let it sit overnight. the next day, after the fruit has soaked in the liquor,
add a whole bunch of juices (fruit, orange, tropical varieties, pineapple,
etc.) we used concentrated juices and also added some water, but not as much
water as the juice would normally call for. they all turned out pretty good.
pineapple and apples seemed to soak up the most liquor over night. kiwis
kinda suck cause they fall apart on ya. oranges are okay, kind of a middle
ground between the two. melons also suck up alcohol pretty good. i hope you
have fun, and let me know how it turns out!
