Subject: Another Q - Legal ages in Chicago?

I went to www.gettips.com to look up the legal age to pour alcohol in Indiana,
where I live. Its 21 here, so thats a no good for me here ;) BUT, I live in
the very northwestern tip of Indiana, quite close to Chicago in fact. I saw
on that website that to pour and serve alcohol in Illinois, you can be 18,
'unless regulated differenly by local ordinance'. So my question is, does
anyone know if it is 18 for Chicago itself, or perhaps any of the close
surrounding area's in Illinois? But it also says you must be 21 to sell
alcohol, does this mean you can't be a full bartender until you are 21? I'm
confused :\ I do want to become a bartender, as you may have read in earlier
posts, but I am willing to become a cocktail waitress, or barback, or similar
to start off - and if you only have to be 18 to do those jobs, I'm going to
start looking around for places to apply to!
