

1) If you have experience and a proven track record, then it could be the
interview itself.
2) If you had a bartending job, why did you leave? That might be one of the
things they see as a red flag (whether it is or not)
3) As long as you have the appropriate permits, find a way to make some cheap
flyers and post them wherever you can to have yourself hired out for private
parties. This isn't always 100% work waiting, but it can be quick money and
if they allow you a tip jar, mega cash in the pocket quickly. I've seen
people pull in 750 in tips at the right private party. I also know of a few
that hardly made any at all.
