It depends on what you think they are going to drink. But I would say at
least a couple cases of white wine and a couple cases of red wine. Maybe an
extra case of one of those if you have an opinion as to what they will hit
harder. As for beer, a couple cases should do, maybe one a light beer if you
think people will want that. Unless you think they are really big beer
drinkers, then maybe one more case just in case. It's hard to say because you
never know exactly what they are going to drink the most of. They may hit the
wine hard and not touch the beer. But I would say that if you can afford it
then too much is better than running out. I don't know if you're doing hard
stuff but if you are... get more vodka than anything else.. a few bottles at
least and a bottle of gin. The over 40 crowd will like scotch so a couple
bottles of that might be nice. Something nice in a single malt if you can
afford it or if you are on a budget just get Chivas or Dewars. I don't know
if you're doing a whole bar or not so I'll stop there. Oh...get a couple
bottles of tonic and soda and some limes...lemons if you want as well.
To sum up:
2 cases white wine
2 cases red wine
2 cases beer, maybe one light if they lean that way
3 bottles vodka
1 bottle gin
1 or 2 bottles scotch, your call
2 two litre bottles of tonic
1 of soda water
2 six packs of coke, diet coke and maybe some 7up
lemons and limes
50 lbs. of ice should do the trick
Hope that helps...you'll have some leftovers but it's hard to say what it will
be. Have fun at your party. Hey...you need a bartender?...I'm in the LA area
;)
