Greetings Fillup,

I highly agree, I read the Amaretto label a number of years ago and I believe
it is made from the pits of peaches and apricots. But I just cut and pasted
the information from that website, believing they may know more than I do.
There is so much erroneous information on the internet, I don't know what to
believe.

This is what www.barnonedrinks.com says:
Amaretto A liqueur made from apricot pits, with an almond flavour.

Amaretto is a liqueur with a distinct flavor of almonds, though it's often
made with apricot pits kernels. The original liqueur, Amaretto di Saronno,
hails from Saronno, Italy. Many distilleries produce their own Amaretto.
