I thought you might ask about metric conversions right after I sent the post.
You could use a dark or light rum. A dark rum may be sweeter than a light
rum. I would try a light rum.
-------------
Agua de Valencia

1/4 L Champagne, Spanish, Cava (8.5 ounces)
3/4 L Orange juice (25.5 ounces)
1 dl Cointreau (3.5 ounces)
50 gr Sugar
Mixing instructions: Put all ingredients in a pitcher. The Cava can be very
cold.
-----------------
I think gr is grams, but I do not know what the conversion is.

see this link for a list of bar measurements.

1 centiliter (cl) = 1/3 ounce

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
