Very much like the banquet bartending gig. What happened to the hotel gig in
Torrance?
> They start at $10/hr. plus tips
which is about average for the type of job you got but probably higher than a
lot of hourly wage at a bar or restarurant.(I'm not talking overall income
including tips.) Bars and resarurants usally pay bartenders a higher wage than
waiters and have heard some refer to their paycheck as their weekly insult. :)
> Dennis: Do you think I'm settling? Should I continue my search?
You're getting experience and building a resume!Wait till you can tell a
prospective employer you served a thousand people in two hours! As far as
settling or searching that's up to you but I'm always looking down the road.
Check out hcareers.com they have some opening near you.How close are you to
Santa Rosa?
Go to some local spots and ask about being a relief bartender as a way of
getting in the door.
congradulations and good luck!
